As Roger struggles to get together a team for the afternoon cricket fixture against British Railways Maintenance Division the team’s marital problems take to the pitch. Bob is trapped lbw as he continues doing odd jobs for his ex behind his current wife’s back; Dennis is knocked for six when his crazed wife has a rather extreme reaction to a stalled house move; Kevin braces himself for a testing afternoon as he tries to stave off his over-affectionate wife Maggie; and even Roger's seemingly perfect marriage to Miriam hits the skids when she is stumped to discover he has been playing away from home in more ways than one!
