Bolder Dance Company
20 October 2014
Bolder Dance Company is our resident company for over 50s. As the name suggests Bolder aims to promote dance as a means of improving health and wellbeing, building confidence as a performer, encouraging creativity and promoting creative ageing... as well as having lots of fun!
The company meets on Mondays at 4pm and is open to complete beginners as well as more experienced dancers. The company is led by highly experienced dance artists Hannah Lefurve and Clare Parker.
If you are interested in coming along to one of the Bolder sessions just come along on Monday at 4pm to chat to Hannah or Clare - lots of people meet for tea and refreshments in the foyer beforehand so this is a great space to find out more.
The company started in February 2014 and is supported by Somerset Community Foundation, Taunton Deane Borough Council and Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre.
Bolder are currently developing a piece of intergenerational work for the War and Peace platform in November working alongside members of The SPACE Company looking at the roles of women during WW1 and the change in family life.
During the festive season Bolder will tour a variety of community settings and visit care homes exploring the theme of 'light'.
