Page is Printed 2018 - Competition Winners
15 June 2018
Friday 15th June saw the culmination of the 2018 Page is Printed Creative Writing Competition, and what a fabulous night of spoken word we had!
What a year this was for our annual Page is Printed Creative Writing Competition?! Tacchi-Morris received over 100 entries from across the country (and some from around the world!), all in a variety of styles and genres. There was a vast assortment of poems, short-stories, letters, diary entries, advertisements and many more.
Friday 15th June bore witness to our annual Page is Printed Celebration Evening, held at the Tacchi-Morris, where we invite all entrants for an evening of creativity, laughter, and the sharing of all creative works (as well as a welcoming invitation to the Tacchi-Morris bar). We had a brilliant turn-out of lots of enthusiastic, creative and good-humoured writers, and the evening was a great success. To finalise the evening, we announced the winners of this year's competition...
The winning entries from the Adult competition are:
Joel Caldicott - The Interrupted Muse
Bill Lythgoe - Song of the Kangaroo
Suzy Wedley - We Didn't Know
The winning entries of the Under 18’s competition are:
James Johnson - An Elastic Band
Charlie Sneader - Absent Justice
Jack James - Spawn of the Devil
The winner of the Best on the Night Prize went to the entry Tears for all Occasions by Anthony Watts.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a piece and to all who attended our Celebration Evening; we hope you will all enter again next year!
