Humbug: A Radio Play

A new play incorporating A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens in the form of a live radio recording.

Written adapted by Martin Carpenter

Directed by Mark Scribbins

From the original Dickens story, Humbug gives an insight into the goings-on behind the radio plays we love to listen to on a cold winters night. A collection of actors old and new come together to produce this radio version recorded in front of a live audience, yes that’s you. All is not as calm as the listeners think but only the audience can see the mayhem that ensues. A comedy about luvvies and their relationships. Will they remember which parts they are playing? Will they master the different voices? Will that bloody clock ever stop chiming? And where is Margaret?
