New 25 Year Exhibition Arrives

New 25 Year Exhibition
10/06/2025

A fabulous new 25 Year Exhibition detailing our past is now adorning our walls

The exhibit is a revisit to our 20 year anniversary exhibition, which was a little disrupted by the global COVID-19 pandemic. This updated exhibit shows documents, photos and stories from the creation of our arts centre.

You’ll find rarely seen images of the incredible Kathleen Tacchi-Morris, the inspirational woman after which we are named. Learn her story, and find out how her life led her on a path across Europe and back, dedicating her life to peace.

Discover the production which sparked the idea of creating a community art centre here, as then Heathfield Community School presented Peace Child. Knowing this history you’ll come to understand why we continue to have such a special relationship with the school of which we share a site.

See early plans and photos of the construction, including details of the art that went directly into the architecture, including our spiral staircase. A special thank you goes to everyone involved with curating and creating the exhibit, both initially in 2020, and for this 2025 update – special thanks to Stephen Elliott, Helen Elliott, and Julian Breeze for their support.

The 25 Year Exhibition can be viewed during our box office opening hours, and before shows here, until Monday 28th July. We hope you are able to view it soon.
