We’re looking for a passionate and hard-working Theatre Technician to join our team at the Tacchi-Morris Art Centre. Successful candidates will have technical skills and experience, a can-do attitude and be a good problem-solver. Strong people and teamwork skills are essential, as well as a hands-on approach and passion for all types of live theatre events.  

Working alongside the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality productions by supporting visiting production companies, hirers, community groups, and academy staff and students. You will also contribute to a safe, professional and creative environment, ensuring all technical and health & safety standards are always met.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Annualised hours, 18 hours per week (average)
Working days will be variable throughout Monday to Sunday and including evenings and weekend shifts to fulfil the Centre’s programme of events. Rota’s will be planned and agreed with the Technical Manager in advance of each term. There may also be the opportunity for additional hours as and when available, separate to the staff member’s contracted hours, where agreed with the Technical Manager.

Salary/Rate: £15.45-£16.66 per hour (CLF Grade C) 

Note: An Enhanced DBS check will be required, paid for by employer.
