Thank you to everyone that entered The Page is Printed 2025: Creative Writing Competition with Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. We had a very high number of entries and a lovely mix of creative ideas and approaches. Our judges were very enthusiastic about the quality of the work and interesting themes and subject matter explored.

The Page is Printed: Creative Writing Competition is all about providing opportunities and encouraging people to write and express themselves. Limiting entrants to one side of A4 and running it as a competition helps with motivating and focusing people, but the main purpose of the event is to encourage and celebrate creative writing. Therefore, anyone who sits down and writes a piece is making the event a success.

It has been a pleasure reading the different pieces and we invite everyone to share their writing again in next year’s competition.

We wanted to thank this year’s judging panel made up of lead judge and award-winning poet Graeme Ryan, author Clare Donoghue, Lionel Ward owner of Brendan Books (Taunton’s favourite independent bookshop), writer Molly White and Teacher and Head of English Leanne Appleby. They generously gave their time to read the pieces, provide their feedback and agree upon the results making this all possible.

Once again, congratulations to the winners and thank you to all who entered.
