If you’ve visited us over the past week you will have seen that Christmas is in full flow here at Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. We’ve got all of our decorations up thanks to our wonderful staff and volunteers! And the icing on the cake has to be our 12 foot tall Christmas tree, from Staple Farm. We’ve also been busy decorating our Mulled Wine and Mince Pie cart ready for the busy pantomime season (tickets still available here!). In case you missed it, Tacchi-Morris Community Arts Centre is proud to raise funds for Taunton Women’s Aid this Christmas season. Some wonderful charity Christmas tree ornaments have been produced by local crafters, which can be purchased for a minimum donation of £2.00 per item.
There a selection of handmade designs available, including wooly baubles, miniature Christmas stockings, wooly hat wearing Christmas characters with big bushy beards, and even a Christmas carrot. Thank you to the kind efforts of the local crafters who have donated their time and effort for this wonderful Charity cause.
This money will be donated to Taunton Women’s Aid. This wonderful and important charity work with other local groups to support adults and children affected by domestic violence.
Unfortunately we live in a world where currently 1 in 4 women will suffer from domestic abuse during their lifetime. The work that Women’s Aid carries out across the country aims to ensure that there is help available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to women that find themselves in abusive relationships.
