General Opening Times

Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre is generally open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, 10am to 4pm, plus Tuesdays 10am to noon and 5pm to 7pm. However, the arts centre is closed during all school holidays.

The centre is also open for any advertised shows and will open 1 hour before the performance start time. This is the case during term time and school holidays.

How To Get Here

Travelling by car

Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre is situated just ten minutes drive from Taunton town centre and five minutes from Junction 25 of the M5.

If using an in-car sat nav system please use postcode: TA2 8PD.

Travelling from within Taunton

  1. Head towards the roundabout on the A3259 (Milton Hill roundabout).
    • From the east: take Bridgwater Road, then take the first exit on the roundabout and turn left.
    • From the west: take Priorswood Road and continue straight over the roundabout near the industrial estate.
  2. At the A3259 roundabout, take the exit for Milton Hill.
  3. Continue along Milton Hill and take the second exit at the roundabout onto School Road.
  4. Drive along School Road – the Tacchi-Morris car park is on your right, just after the Co-op.

Travelling via A38

  1. Follow the A38 south until the dual carriageway after Walford Cross ends.
  2. Turn right onto Monkton Heathfield Road.
  3. At the roundabout, take the second exit to continue on Monkton Heathfield Road.
  4. Look for the Merry Monk pub on your left – immediately after this, turn left onto Milton Hill.
  5. At the next junction, turn left again onto School Road.
  6. Drive along School Road – the Tacchi-Morris car park is on your right, just after the Co-op.

Travelling via M5

  1. Exit the motorway at Junction 25 and follow signs for Taunton on the Toneway / A358.
  2. At the Creech Castle junction, turn right onto Bridgwater Road.
  3. Continue along Bridgwater Road and at the first roundabout, take the first exit onto the A3259.
  4. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Milton Hill.
  5. Continue along Milton Hill and at the following roundabout, take the second exit onto School Road.
  6. Drive along School Road – the Tacchi-Morris car park is on your right, just after the Co-op.

Parking

There is ample free parking available on-site in the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre car park. The what3words address for our carpark is: ///reliving.again.spicy

Travelling via Bus

There are multiple ways to reach us using the local bus services. Please check the relevant timetable for bus times.

You can catch the First Bus number 21, getting off at the West Monkton Primary School stop. From here Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre is just a short 7 minute walk.

  1. Walk south along Bridgwater Road until you see a green metal fence on your right (just after the pedestrian crossing).
  2. Follow the footpath along this fence until you pass through a small gate.
  3. You’ll then have a short walk along School Road, until you see our venue on the left.

Alternatively you can catch the First Bus number 21a or number 12, getting off at the Staddlestones bus stop. From here it is just a 4 minute walk along School Road to the venue.

  1. Cross the road near the mini roundabout, before continuing along School Road.
  2. Our venue will be on the right, opposite the Co-op.

Those travelling from north of Taunton taking the 21A will need to get off at the Hartnells Farm stop. From here it is just a 6 minute walk through the Elms Estate to our venue.

  1. Turn left into the Elms Estate, when you reach halfway around the estate you will see a footpath between two of the houses.
  2. Follow this footpath and you will emerge onto School Road, opposite our venue and carpark.
