About Folksy Theatre
Folksy Theatre was founded in 2009. They tour the UK throughout the year, with theatre and open-air productions.
Folksy specialise in adaptations of classic children’s stories. Previous tours include; Julia Donaldson’s ‘The Smartest Giant In Town’, Jonathan Emmett’s ‘The Princess & The Pig’, Charles Dickens’s ‘A Christmas Carol’, Kenneth Grahame’s ‘The Wind In The Willows’ and Hans Christian Anderson’s ‘The Little Match Girl’, ‘The Tin Soldier’ & ‘The Snow Queen’ and Quentin Blake’s ‘Mister Magnolia’.
Folksy regularly work in conjunction with a number of Rural Touring Schemes and other organisations, including, The Lyric Hammersmith, Borders Live, West Coast Arts, Historic Scotland and The National Trust.
