Our brand new youth theatre is launching this September!
People Youth Theatre is a place to create, perform, and belong.
Each year the youth theatre will rehearse and perform a full scale musical. The latter part of the year will involve devising and rehearsing a theatre piece to be performed at the annual Tacchi-Morris Summer Community Show.
This a chance to discover and enjoy the magic of theatre. If you want to explore your creativity, make friends, and build confidence, this is for you.
Led by the incredibly passionate and experienced Youth Theatre Director David Duthie, and in partnership with the fantastic folk at People&co, this is the beginning of something special.

Sister Act JR. (this year’s production)
PYT’s first production will be in March 2026, and work for the show will begin in September.
Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing, and a truly moving story, Sister Act JR.will leave audiences breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act JR. is a reason to REJOICE!
When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found: a convent!
Based on the hit 1992 film and Tony-nominated Broadway musical, Sister Act JR. is the feel-good musical comedy that will have audiences jumping to their feet!

Devised Performance | Apr – Jul 2026: £85 (options to pay in instalments available)
Scholarships
Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre and People&co are passionate about theatre being accessible for everyone. We believe cost should not be a barrier. This is why a range of scholarships are available to ensure young people can be part of the youth theatre at a cost affordable for them and their family.
Scholarships covering 25%-100% of the costs are available. The opportunity to express an interest in a scholarship will be available when you join the youth theatre. This will take place after you’ve attended a taster session.
