Taunton Camera Club’s latest exhibition examines the theme of careers in photography, from family portraits and weddings, which everyone immediately thinks of to the more unusual uses of photography.
Think along the lines of natural history, microscopy, documentary projects and even determination of international boundaries!
“Determining international boundaries is a complex task requiring the integration of political, legal and technical disciplines. Even the smallest island may have the rights to thousands of square kilometres of maritime space. Measuring the location, and assessing the size and condition of these small islands is critical evidence for presentation in international courts. While satellite imagery can provide good coverage, photography on the ground or in the air from a drone provides convincing detail.”
The exhibition aims to make people aware of the many and varied careers available using photography.
