Somerset Comedy Festival bring us a night with not one, but two fantastic comedy acts. This incredible value for money evening will feature a full set from fantastic comedian Stephanie Laing, and another from the wonderful David Arnold. Stephanie Laing – Rudder
A comedy dance show about balance.
Stephanie has a history of falling over a lot, accidentally kneeing herself in the face, and falling in love with Total Kn*bheads. In this show she uses a mixture of stand-up and dance to talk about bodies, sex, dancing, liking yourself, consent and healing.
Also there are cartoon bears and burlesque.

David Arnold – Late Bloomer (A lifelong work in progress)
‘Late Bloomer’ is the debut show of Stand Up for Cider resident host and fan favourite David Arnold, join him as he takes you on an hilarious journey through his childhood where he was one of life’s slow starters.
David Arnold is a must watch star of the future who is taking the UK comedy circuit by storm. In over a decade on the circuit, he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names, performed at world-renowned festivals and has had critical acclaim in competitions such as So You Think You’re Funny and the British Comedian of the Year. In recent years he‘s written for BBC Radio Wales, performed at the London Palladium and internationally for P&O Cruises.

Following the huge success of the first festival show, Taunton Comedy Festival became Taunton Comedy and started to book and promote shows at more and more venues across Taunton and then expanded further afield to other towns and villages in Somerset – Genius PR & Events was born!
Trish’s dream has always been to make Somerset the Edinburgh of the South – Not just once a year but top quality comedy shows across Somerset all year round.
