Tacchi-Morris Comedy Special
We’re excited to be hosting our first ever Tacchi-Morris Comedy Special, in partnership with Genius PR & Events.
What can you expect? A night full of laughter, fun and mirth! There’ll be an amazing MC that will feature throughout the evening, interacting with the audience and generally making sure everyone is having a good time.
The MC will also introduce your three acts. Whilst the lineup is subject to change, you are guaranteed a great night, with three wonderful comedians each performing their best material, with the night being capped off by your amazing headliner. MC – Suzy Bennett
Originally from Devon, Ex-Butlins-Redcoat Suzy is a dynamo of a comic, with a uniquely warm and chatty stage presence. She has been delighting audiences with her saucy comedy since “accidentally” reaching the finals of Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol on her first gig, and being asked by Jimmy to support him on his “Gag Reflex” tour. Since then she has been storming gigs up and down the country, as well as hosting the Playtex Moonwalk in Hyde Park for the last two years entertaining 17,000 people wearing a novelty bra!

Opening Act – Ricky Balshaw
BBC New Comedian of the Year Semi Finalist 2021 & Midlands Comedy Award Winner for Best New Act, Ricky Balshaw is a Paralympic, World Championship and European Championship dressage medallist with a penchant for dark humour.
Middle Act – Doug Carter
Wonderful Coventry based comedian Doug Carter is making a real name for himself on the comedy circuit. Expect big laughs from the Midlands Comedy Awards ‘Rising Star’ award winner, and Notts Comedy Festival Best Newcomer 2019.
Headline Act – Sally-Anne Hayward
Sally-Anne is an award-winning comedian (Best UK Compere 2019 and Holsten Pils ‘Fans of Comedy’ award) and a sought-after corporate performer (with clients including Virgin Media and Alcatel).
She has proven her writing talents with numerous Edinburgh Fringe shows and can display a depth of material that marks out the best comic talent. She has performed all over the world and has provided tour support for Sarah Millican, Russell Howard, Russell Kane, Hal Cruttenden and Suzi Ruffell.
An accomplished breakfast radio presenter (Star 107.2), with TV credits (‘The Blame Game’ BBC) and radio panel show credits (‘Elephant in The Room’ BBC Radio 4), as well as TV warm-up (‘Deal or No Deal’ Channel 4).
She co-hosts a podcast called Spit or Swallow, along with Lou Conran. Together they incorporate their love of wine, celebrity guests and drunk stories.
Founded in 2013 by Trish Caller – Genius PR & Events started out as Taunton Comedy Festival with a huge marquee in the grounds of Taunton School.
Following the huge success of the first festival show, Taunton Comedy Festival became Taunton Comedy and started to book and promote shows at more and more venues across Taunton and then expanded further afield to other towns and villages in Somerset – Genius PR & Events was born!
Trish’s dream has always been to make Somerset the Edinburgh of the South – Not just once a year but top quality comedy shows across Somerset all year round.
