Work Experience Weeks
We’re delighted each year to be able to offer a small number of students the opportunity to complete work experience with us. During work experience weeks, we aim to provide students with a taste of the day-to-day running of a ‘receiving house’ theatre. The week will typically include spending time with our Box Office, Marketing, Administration, Front of House and Technical staff.
Dates for 2026
We designate work experience weeks based upon our programme to ensure a chosen week has a suitable mixture of shows and activity that makes for an enriching work experience for students.
2026 Designated work experience week: Mon 6 Jul – Sun 12 Jul
Unfortunately we will only be able to consider work experience placements for students during the designated week.
Example week schedule
Working in a theatre often means working hours outside of a standard Monday to Friday, 9 til 5. Below is an example of what a work experience week with us might look like. Please only express an interest in work experience with us if you’re able to commit to this type of schedule.

Please note, this is just an example, and the actual hours and days a student will be with us will depend on our scheduled events for the week. A bespoke schedule will be agreed with students ahead of their work experience.
Other information
We will provide any required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and advise types of appropriate dress for the different work activities.
Express an interest in work experience
We are open to expressions of interest for our work experience week(s) from September through to the January of that academic year.
